TREVISO (ITALY): AEB TOOK PART IN THE FORUM ON TANGENTIAL FILTRATION

AEB attended an important national forum on the theme of tangential filtration. The meeting, that involved wine-makers, managers and owners of the main Italian wine cellars, took place on 26th and 27th May near Treviso, province known for the production of Prosecco. AEB played a key role in this initiative with the intervention of Cesare Bianco, member of the board of directors of the Group, and of Paolo Machiavelli, Quality manager. The focus of the presentation was the proper cleaning of membranes, essential operation for maintaining their efficiency. The event, organized by TMCI Padovan, AEB, GEA Italy and Kerafol GMBH, was characterized by the opening words of Professor Fabio Pezzi, member of the Sciences and Food Technologies Department of Bologna University, followed by the interventions of Massimo Pivetta (TMCI Padovan), Filippo Bonvicini (GEA Italy) e Christian Münch (Kerafol). Among the discussed topics, there were the new materials and advantages linked to the exponential increase in the performance of plants, in order to lower operating costs, and the innovative technology of ceramic membranes. This was then translated into practice through the demonstration of TMCI Padovan equipment running at Cantina Bellenda. To seal a two-day rich in contents, the tasting of wines typical of the host territory, under the guidance of the wine-maker Michelet.
