Decoran XL is a special decolorizing , wood derived, activated carbon with a very high adsorbing action. It is produced by means of a carbonization process under controlled atmosphere and process activation. This specific active decolorizing carbon enables to process large volumes of must or wine, with excellent treatment results, making it ideal for every large-scale consumer. Decoran XL has a surface area above 1000 m2/g and a particle diameter from 10 to 100 Ångström: these physical characteristics ensure a high decolorizing activity in musts, above all towards the constituents with a higher molecular weight such as polyphenols.
