PIEDMONT: THE LATEST NEWS PRESENTED TO WINEMAKERS AND RETAILERS

The meeting of Piedmont resellers and customers took place yesterday in Calosso. All of them joined the splendid estate of Ca' Rapulin, immersed in the hilly nature of the Monferrato.

The meeting opened with the welcome of Nicoletta Facondini, Italy Oenology Sales Manager, who anticipated the new products and equipment in view of the forthcoming harvest. Afterwards there were the interventions of: Tommaso Bonciani, AEB R&D and Sales Assistant, Valentina Corti, Marketing Manager, and Simone Giacosa. He has collaborated on two very important studies with our group: the first on the effect of the use of enzymes on anthocyanic extraction from grapes with different skin thickness; and the second on the role of exogenous tannins in colour preservation during the early stages of maceration.

The pre-harvest training update, this was the aim of the meeting, ended with a tasting of Israeli Kosher wines.
